Stationary Air Quality Monitoring

This map shows our stationary air quality monitors, with readings updating every hour. Our locations were chosen with a focus on the places people live, work, play, and breathe in their day to day lives.

Click on one of the circles location to see the most updated readings for that location! See the historical data at that location by clicking “show in plot” at the bottom of the popup window.

Please note that Breathe Easy Berkshires has nine stationary monitors across Pittsfield. Also included on this map is a monitor at Silver Lake (named PittsfieldES on this map), which is owned and maintained by the EPA.

In addition to these nine stationary sites, we have a small team of mobile monitors. They walk routine routes with handheld air quality monitors in the Southeast, Westside and Morningside areas of the city. These locations are around schools, homes, businesses, and often busy streets. The mobile team also walks investigative routes near places we suspect have high levels of emissions.

If you would like us to bring the mobile monitors to investigate the air in your area, please let us know by filling out the Air Quality Concern Report at the bottom of this page.
